Surface catfishing gear for catching capital catfish.
One of the most effective night-catching methods in warming and warming waters is the surface stupek.
Thread a large lead (around 200g) through the main line and then tie on your finished rig. Then hook a weight to the bottom end of the rig to keep the baitfish on the hook close to the surface.
The small fish flapping on the water will attract nearby catfish.
